PoliciesRepair Shop Policies A $35 bench fee covers our time if the device is too damaged to repair or if the repair is going to be more than the customer is willing to spend. This fee will be applied to the cost of the repair if the customer decides to have the unit repaired. (plus we have to pay a tech) The Warranty covers labor / parts costs necessary to REPAIR your product ONLY. We do not warranty the whole amplifier, just the repair performed! When CIA Engineering repairs a piece of equipment and the customer (the same customer that previously murdered the unit) reinstalls it without checking any of the wiring or speakers or anything else and the piece of equipment is again damaged, it's extremely annoying when the customer returns the unit claiming that CIA Engineering didn't repair it properly. Every repair is tested a minimum of 3 times (after replacing parts, when mounted back in the heat sink and after all covers have been replaced - all amps are tested to factory specifications and burned in for a minimum of 30 minutes at full power). This testing procedure ensures not only the customer, but CIA Engineering as well, that the unit was working when it left our facility. This procedure is in place so we don't have any problems. If you do something wrong when reinstalling the equipment and damage the unit again, tell the technician what happened (take responsibility). Good service centers can be hard to find. If you damage the repaired unit again when reinstalling it and try to blame it on the CIA Engineering, you may get it repaired for free the second time but the next time you need something serviced, you will be told to go somewhere else. If you own up to what you did wrong, CIA Engineering will likely appreciate your honesty and may repair it again for a minimum charge. If you have problems re-installing your amp - refer to the owners manual or SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP ! Fine Print: A $3.00 storage fee will be added to any amplifier not paid for 15 days after completion of the repair, unless arrangments are made in advance. ALL repairs must be paid in full before return shipping What is not covered Failures due to corrosion, rust, dust, animal or insect damage; Failures such as cabinetry & cabinet parts, knobs, handles, frames, masks, finish defects, and glass. Conditions beyond CIA Engineering's control such as damage resulting from shipping, unauthorized repair, wiring, or electrical connections, improper installation or setup, modifications, negligence, misuse or abuse, whether willful or not, accidental damage, malicious mischief, vandalism, theft; Failure to follow manufacturer's recommended maintenance, acts of God such as fire, water, windstorm, hail, earthquake, civil disorders, riot or nuclear accident. Any amplifier not paid for and shipped back within 30 days is considered to be abandoned and becomes the property of CIA Engineering unless arrangements are made in advance. Amplifiers 4000 watts and above, that are considered "Competition Amplifiers" - No warranty is offered. Repaired equipment has a 15 day warranty on parts and labor that WE repaired. The warranty covers the parts replaced. ( Don' t think you can just reconnect the amp in the same situation that killed it in the first place and if something goes wrong, its covered by our warranty) CIA Engineering reserves the right at any time to refuse a repair. NOTE: CIA Engineering does NOT offer refunds on repaired amplifiers. |
